Jonathan Majors’ Domestic Violence Trial Scheduled For August in New York City

Actor Jonathan Majors’ domestic violence case is set to go to trial on August 3, as a Manhattan judge decided, potentially impacting his Hollywood career.

Majors’ accuser alleges he engaged in physical violence, including pulling her finger, twisting her arm, striking and cutting her ear, and pushing her into a vehicle during a March incident in New York City, resulting in minor injuries.

Majors’ attorney claims to have provided video evidence suggesting that the accuser attacked Majors, not the other way around, along with photographs showing Majors’ injuries and torn clothing resulting from the accuser’s actions.

Based on the new evidence, the defense is requesting that all charges against Majors be dropped and that proceedings be initiated against the accuser for her alleged crimes, while also accusing police and prosecutors of racial bias.

Despite his arrest, Majors’ Hollywood career has suffered setbacks, with the U.S. Army pulling his TV commercials and Disney postponing the release of his upcoming Marvel film.

During the hearing, the judge scheduled Majors’ trial and expressed her wishes for his success, while he stood with his lawyers and his girlfriend, actress Meagan Good.

Majors, who is charged with misdemeanors and could face up to a year in jail if convicted, attended the hearing in person and had to comply with a protection order.

Failure to appear on the trial date could result in an arrest warrant being issued.
