Kehinde Bankole Shares Thoughts on Accepting Nude Roles in Film
Renowned Nigerian actress and TV host, Kehinde Bankole, has opened up about the conditions under which she would consider taking on a nude role in a movie.
Speaking during an appearance on the Duke Rants podcast, the actress addressed the question of how far she is willing to go in her acting career. In a now-viral video, Bankole was asked if she would ever accept a role that required nudity.
In her response, Bankole emphasized that she would only consider it if it is “intelligently required” for the story. She explained, “I don’t like that question because the answer can be taken out of context. This is the internet after all. But I will say I can do what is artistically required. As long as it is intelligently required, not just required.”
The actress further highlighted that great storytelling does not always necessitate nudity or excessive intimate scenes.
