Kelce Brothers Secure $100 Million Podcast Deal with Amazon’s Wondery
NFL stars Jason and Travis Kelce have signed a landmark deal with Amazon’s Wondery for their popular podcast, “New Heights with Jason & Travis Kelce.” The agreement, reportedly worth around $100 million, grants Wondery exclusive rights to handle ad sales and distribution for all audio and video episodes, including the entire back catalogue.
The deal, which kicks in just as the new NFL season begins, underscores the growing influence and commercial value of sports podcasts. Now entering its third season, “New Heights” is widely recognized as one of the top sports podcasts, particularly during football season, where it garners significant listenership. The podcast offers fans deep insights into the NFL, featuring commentary, analysis, and interviews from the Kelce brothers, who are both accomplished athletes.
“We love this show and the fanbase that has grown with us over the last two seasons,” the Kelce brothers shared in a statement on Tuesday, expressing their excitement for the partnership with Wondery.
Jason Kelce, who recently retired after a 13-year career with the Philadelphia Eagles, and Travis Kelce, who continues to shine as the Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end, bring a unique dynamic to the podcast. Travis, fresh off his third Super Bowl win, has also gained media attention recently due to his relationship with pop superstar Taylor Swift.
The Wondery deal does not mean that “New Heights” will be exclusive to one streaming platform. Listeners will still be able to access the podcast on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music. However, Wondery+ subscribers will enjoy perks such as early access to episodes and ad-free listening.
This deal is the latest in a series of high-profile podcast agreements. Last week, “Call Her Daddy” host Alex Cooper signed a $125 million deal with SiriusXM, giving the platform exclusive rights to her content. Similarly, the podcast “SmartLess,” hosted by Will Arnett, Jason Bateman, and Sean Hayes, moved to SiriusXM in January under a three-year, $100 million deal.
The Kelce brothers’ partnership with Wondery marks a significant moment in the podcasting industry, as sports podcasts continue to attract lucrative deals and wide audiences.
