Meek Mill Credits His ‘Favourite Rapper’ Jadakiss for ‘Guiding Him as a Kid

Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill has recently revealed Jadakiss as his favourite rapper, attributing his music to guiding him during his formative years in Philadelphia. Meek Mill shared his sentiments through his Instagram Story, where he played Jadakiss’ track “Blood Pressure” from The LOX’s 2000 album “We Are The Streets.”

In an Instagram Story post, Meek Mill juxtaposed an old mugshot of himself with a recent one of Rudy Giuliani, the former mayor of New York City. Alongside the images, he explained, “This is why Kiss was my favourite rapper. I felt like he was guiding me as a lost kid!”

In related news, Meek Mill recently announced a musical collaboration with his former MMG boss, Rick Ross. The rapper took to Instagram to share a series of images of himself and Ross at Miami’s House of Hits recording facility, hinting at new music in the works.

In the Instagram post, both artists appeared to be in high spirits, enjoying unreleased tracks with compelling bars and melodic production. Meek Mill teased the upcoming release, writing, “MEEK X ROZAY SOUNDS…. I know I know it’s gonna drop.”

Fans and fellow artists expressed their excitement for the collaboration, with Ebro Darden stating, “Man this music right here… we need,” and Ludacris leaving a fire and smoke emoji under the post.

Meek Mill and Rick Ross have been maintaining a positive relationship over the past months. In March, Meek Mill commended Rick Ross for his professionalism within Maybach Music Group, acknowledging that Ross upheld a solid contract during their business interactions. The two rappers previously teased their collaboration during a studio listening session, hinting at the imminent release of their joint work.

The dynamic between Meek Mill and Rick Ross reflects their commitment to creating impactful music and maintaining a supportive and collaborative atmosphere within the music industry.
