Need for Speed Unbound Volume 6 Introduces Audi and Dedicated PVP Mode
In a surprising turn of events, EA’s Need for Speed Unbound extends its live service support into a second year, delivering fresh content, including new cars, themed events, and game modes inspired by classic NFS titles. Today, the highly anticipated Volume 6 update hits all platforms, marking the beginning of a series of updates aimed at reinvigorating the Need for Speed Unbound experience.
After a noticeable absence, Audi rejoins the Need for Speed franchise, debuting in Unbound with three iconic models: the 2019 Audi R8 Coupe, S5 Sportback, and the striking 2020 Audi RS 6 Avant power estate. Each vehicle offers full customization options, with Rare Custom variants available for unlock via the Premium Speed Pass.
Volume 6 commemorates Need for Speed’s 30th anniversary by introducing Darius’ custom 2019 Audi R8 Coupe from Need for Speed Carbon and the 1984 Ferrari Testarossa Coupe from the original game, Road and Track Presents: The Need for Speed.
Volume 6 brings a dedicated PVP mode, allowing players to engage in 25 new PVP races directly from the multiplayer garage. With three rotating weekly playlists, participants can expect fresh challenges and a revamped rank system that rewards progression with exclusive customization items.
As with previous updates, Volume 6 introduces a new Speed Pass featuring 45 tiers of rewards, including Audi vehicles and customization parts. Notably, the Premium Speed Pass offers 30 additional tiers, granting instant access to exclusive content such as the 2020 Audi RS 6 Avant and unique character skins for multiplayer mode.
Beyond new content, Volume 6 brings various quality-of-life enhancements, including 25 new races, updated Freedrive playlists, and improved XP and SP earning mechanics. Bug fixes and performance optimizations further enhance the overall gameplay experience.
With Volume 6, Need for Speed Unbound continues to evolve, offering players a blend of nostalgia and innovation. As the franchise celebrates three decades of high-octane racing, the future looks promising for fans eager to hit the virtual streets once again.
