Meek Mill Vows to Fight After 12-Year-Old’s Body Found in Philly Dumpster

Philadelphia native and renowned rapper Meek Mill has pledged to confront the escalating issue of violence in his hometown, particularly in the wake of a recent tragedy that hit close to home.

Meek Mill, famous for his hits like “Dreams and Nightmares,” utilized his Instagram Stories on Friday, September 1, to draw attention to the distressing incident involving the death of 12-year-old Hezekiah Bernard, whose lifeless body was discovered in a dumpster on August 22.

Expressing his concerns, Meek Mill wrote, “They playing so ruthless in Philly, the self-hatred level on 1000 degrees with blacks…and it’s only getting worse. They need to let us fight this shit back. Me and some of the old heads can clear some of this shit up. We need the jails behind us too so it’s no escaping!”

He went on to say, “The wrong women or child get killed I don’t think we’ll be able to turn back. Can black people come together besides a rap concert or sports? We looking terrible.”

The circumstances surrounding Hezekiah Bernard’s tragic death are deeply disturbing. According to USA Today, when his body was discovered, it appeared that he had suffered a gunshot wound to the head, leading investigators to classify his death as a homicide. Additionally, Bernard’s head was found wrapped in plastic wrap, adding to the gruesome nature of the crime.

An active investigation into Bernard’s death is currently underway. However, investigators have not disclosed any leads or potential causes of death at this time.

In a somewhat lighter note regarding Meek Mill, the Philadelphia native recently hinted at the release of the sequel to his acclaimed album “Championships.” On August 31, Meek Mill took to his Instagram Stories to make this exciting announcement, even sharing what seemed to be a tracklisting for the upcoming album. Among the listed tracks was one titled “Apocalypse 2,” apparently produced by Cardo. The tracklisting suggested that the album would consist of 31 songs, with a total runtime of one hour and 31 minutes.

Although he tantalized fans with this revelation, Meek Mill did not provide any additional details about the album, including a potential release date. “Championships,” released in November 2018, marked Meek Mill’s return to the music scene following a five-month incarceration at the Chester State Penitentiary, making it an eagerly anticipated follow-up for his devoted fanbase.
