Meek Mill Wants to Collaborate with an African Artiste, Asks Fans for Names

Renowned rapper Meek Mill is reaching out to his fans for suggestions on potential African collaborators for an upcoming album. Taking to Twitter on Tuesday (January 30), Meek engaged with his followers, specifically asking for recommendations from Nigeria and Ghana.

“If I made an album with an African artist who should it be???” he inquired. “Question to Nigeria Ghan[a]? I rap well I could do in 2 weeks with a good producer??? Leave a comment who???”

This latest inquiry follows Meek Mill’s recent curiosity about his music’s popularity in South Africa. Last week, he questioned his fans, “Do a lot of people play my music in South Africa? I remember having one big show there a few years back… how do y’all listen to our music in South Africa? On what platform or in Nigeria?”

However, the rapper received a humorous response from some fans, with one commenter humorously stating, “Well, it depends on the season. In summer, we hear it through the trunk of an elephant. In spring, the giraffes catch signal and play it out loud. You get me?”

Another fan added a touch of satire, stating, “Normally we use rocks but on a good day we use trees or get one person to sing for the whole village.”

It appears Meek Mill is no stranger to Twitter/X banter, as earlier this week, fans questioned his claim of amassing over $100 million throughout his career. The rapper defended his statement, emphasizing his contributions to the community and his decade-long success rate among the 1% of successful black men.

“Why should they listen to you lol,” he responded to skeptics, highlighting his commitment to community service and advocating for positive focus. Meek Mill’s interaction with fans continues to stir conversation and anticipation for his future collaborations, particularly with artists from the African continent.
