Morayo Brown Criticizes 2Face Over Divorce, Says Annie Shouldn’t Be Left to Suffer
Media personality and TVC Entertainment Channel’s Managing Director, Morayo Afolabi-Brown, has weighed in on the ongoing divorce drama between Nigerian singer 2Face Idibia and his wife, Annie Idibia.
Speaking on her show Your View on Wednesday, Morayo criticized 2Face’s decision to move on so publicly, stating that he should not be absolved of the emotional toll his actions may have taken on Annie.
“I think he should not go scot-free for what he has done. I think he has probably damaged this woman,” she said.
Her comments come after 2Face confirmed his relationship with Edo lawmaker Natasha Osawaru in a viral video, where he also announced plans to marry her – just weeks after revealing his separation from Annie.
Morayo questioned when and why the singer decided to end his marriage, suggesting societal pressure may have played a role in his previous commitment.
“Maybe it is societal pressure that has caused him to stay with this young woman. For whatever reason, he needs to tell us because society was there when they were getting married. At what point did you decide you are no longer with Annie?” she asked.
The high-profile breakup has sparked widespread debate, with many weighing in on the impact of the singer’s actions on his estranged wife.
