“Muri and Ko” tells the gripping tale of Muri, a thief who unknowingly steals a car with a child inside. As Muri evades a ₦10 million bounty and the police, he forms an unexpected bond with the child.

“Muri and Ko” grossed ₦41.5 million in one week, surpassing “Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti,” which had been the top Nollywood film for three weeks. “Funmilayo Ransome-Kuti” now sits at fourth place with ₦15 million earned during the period and a total gross of ₦156.5 million.

The action thriller “Criminal” has seen a decline, dropping from fourth to sixth place, with earnings of ₦8.2 million, bringing its total gross to ₦45.7 million.

The success of “Muri and Ko” demonstrates the dynamic nature of the Nigerian box office, with Nollywood films continuing to captivate audiences and perform strongly against international competition.
