Naira Marley and Sam Larry Granted N20 Million Bail by Lagos Court in Mohbad Case

A Yaba Magistrate Court in Lagos State has granted bail to music artist Azeez Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley, and Balogun Eletu, widely recognized as Sam Larry, with each required to post a bail bond of N20 million and present three responsible sureties.

Presiding Magistrate Adeola Olatunbosun stipulated that the duo must surrender their international passports as part of their bail terms.

Moreover, the magistrate mandated both defendants to make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) as part of their bail conditions.

In a significant warning, Magistrate Olatunbosun conveyed a stern message, cautioning that any direct attempts to contact her would be meticulously recorded and potentially divulged during public court proceedings.

“As part of the bail conditions, the defendants are to surrender their passports and make weekly appearances at the State Criminal Investigation Department. Any attempts to contact me directly would be recorded and potentially disclosed in open court proceedings,” warned Olatunbosun.

Naira Marley and Sam Larry were arrested upon their return to Nigeria following their alleged connection to the untimely death of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad.

Amid social media videos depicting Sam Larry involved in a physical altercation with Mohbad, other clips showed individuals, purportedly at the behest of Naira Marley, engaging in altercations with the late rapper.
