Naira Marley Shares Private Chats with Iyabo Ojo Amid Mohbad Controversy
Nigerian singer Naira Marley has released private conversations between himself and actress Iyabo Ojo, dating back to 2021 and 2022, months after she publicly accused him of bullying late singer Mohbad before his death.
The screenshots, shared on Naira Marley’s Instagram Story on Monday, reveal that Iyabo Ojo had previously reached out to him on multiple occasions. The actress invited him to her movie premiere, her late mother’s remembrance party, and also sought his help in promoting her adopted son’s music career.
While Naira Marley did not provide any commentary on the leaked messages, the posts have sparked mixed reactions online, with many questioning their relevance to the ongoing Mohbad case.
Mohbad, a former signee of Naira Marley’s Marlian Music, passed away on September 12, 2023, and was buried the following day. Amid public outcry, his body was later exhumed for an autopsy as investigations into the circumstances surrounding his untimely death continue.
Iyabo Ojo had been one of the most vocal figures calling for justice for Mohbad, accusing Naira Marley of playing a role in his alleged mistreatment. The release of these private chats has now added a new layer of drama to an already contentious situation.
