Nedu Denies Being Fired from The Honest Bunch Podcast
Nigerian media personality Chinedu Ani Emmanuel, popularly known as Nedu, has dismissed claims that he was fired from The Honest Bunch podcast, clarifying that his departure was a personal decision.
Nedu’s exit from the podcast followed backlash over an episode featuring reality TV star Deeone, who alleged that social media critic VeryDarkMan (VDM) was attracted to men. In response, VDM accused Nedu of orchestrating the claims, alleging that the media personality had repeatedly invited him onto the podcast since 2024 and even offered to buy him a car as an incentive.
Amid the controversy, Nedu announced his decision to leave The Honest Bunch, sparking speculation that he was removed by the producers. However, addressing the rumours at a recent press briefing in Lagos, he refuted the claims, stating that he chose to step away due to escalating personal attacks.
“Let me clarify that I wasn’t fired from The Honest Bunch Podcast. I decided to step away when the attacks became personal so that the show can go on,” he said.
