Nicki Minaj Says New Drake Collaboration Gives Her Young Money Nostalgia

Nicki Minaj recently took a trip down memory lane, reminiscing about the good old days of Young Money as she teased an upcoming collaboration with fellow rapper Drake.

In a recent TikTok livestream, the Queens, New York native shared her excitement about the forthcoming track, revealing that it evoked a strong sense of nostalgia. She expressed how it transported her back to the “fun times” during the peak of Young Money’s influence, a period when she was closely associated with Lil Wayne and Drake.

“The song I did with Drake recently definitely put me in the feels, like when we used to be doing Nicki Minaj TV on the Lil Wayne tour and stuff,” she fondly recalled. “Fun times, right?”

Fans can anticipate the joint effort to feature on Drake’s highly anticipated album, “For All The Dogs,” which is poised for release in the near future.

Nicki Minaj and Drake have a rich history of collaboration dating back to the late 2000s when Young Money emerged as a dominant force in mainstream Hip Hop. Their musical journey includes memorable tracks such as “Best I Ever Had” (Remix), “Up All Night,” “Moment 4 Life,” “Only,” “Make Me Proud,” “Truffle Butter,” and “Only.”

In 2021, the trio of Nicki, Drake, and Lil Wayne reunited for “Seeing Green,” a track brimming with the vintage Young Money essence. Furthermore, Nicki Minaj provided uncredited vocals on Drake’s “Papi’s Home,” featured on his “Certified Lover Boy” album.

Drake officially confirmed their renewed collaboration during his “It’s All a Blur Tour” stop in Detroit in July, generating excitement among their devoted fan base. With their past track record and the anticipation surrounding this new project, it promises to be a significant moment in their storied collaboration history.
