Nicki Minaj Shares Family Day Out Ahead of Pink Friday 2 Tour Stop in Chicago
Nicki Minaj took a break from her busy Pink Friday 2 Tour schedule to enjoy some quality family time ahead of her Chicago performances.
The renowned rapper, known as the Queen Barb, visited the Shedd Aquarium in Chicago with her husband Kenneth Petty and their son, affectionately referred to as “Papa Bear,” prior to hitting the stage at the United Center for two shows on Wednesday and Thursday.
Minaj shared glimpses of their outing on her Instagram, posting photos and clips of the family enjoying the aquarium’s attractions.
“Thank you to the amazing employees at the Aquarium in Chicago today,” Minaj wrote in the caption. “#PapaBear had a great time.”
Minaj’s Pink Friday 2 Tour has been marked by electrifying performances and surprise guest appearances, and her Chicago shows were no exception. She brought out G Herbo for a performance of “Chi-Raq” and Jeremih for “Favorite” and “Want Some More.”
In a recent show in Philadelphia at the Wells Fargo Center, Minaj thrilled fans with an energetic set that included appearances by local icons Freeway and the Young Gunz.

Both Young Chris and Freeway expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to perform with Minaj, with Young Chris thanking her for the opportunity and Freeway praising her outstanding performance and hospitality.
