“Nigeria Is Too Toxic” – Comedian Shank Comics Speaks After Moving Abroad
US-based Nigerian content creator and comedian, Adesokan Emmanuel, popularly known as Shank Comics, has described Nigeria as “too toxic,” sparking mixed reactions on social media.
In a post shared on his X handle, the comedian expressed frustration with the state of the country, writing: “Nigeria is too too toxic man. Sickening.”
His comment quickly drew backlash from some users who accused him of criticising the country shortly after relocating abroad. One user replied, “You never even reach six months for that side, you don dey enter us.”
In response, Shank stood by his statement, saying, “No jor. I’m serious.”
Shank Comics, known for his humorous skits and relatable takes on Nigerian life, has seen his career grow significantly in recent years, with a move to the US marking a new phase in his content creation journey.
