Nike Unveils Vomero Premium and Plus Models with Game-Changing Cushioning Ahead of Fall Releases
Nike is elevating the standard for running comfort with the introduction of two new additions to its Vomero line – the Vomero Premium and Vomero Plus – both built with bold stack heights and cutting-edge cushioning tech aimed at delivering maximum comfort and energy return.
At the forefront of this innovation is the Nike Vomero Premium, a striking silhouette featuring a towering 55mm heel stack height. The shoe pairs ZoomX foam with strategically placed Zoom Air pods at the forefoot and heel, designed to compress and expand with every stride. While not equipped with a full-length Zoom Air unit like the Pegasus Premium, the targeted Zoom placement on the Vomero Premium offers high-impact support for long-distance runners.
Visually, the Vomero Premium keeps things sleek and simple on the upper, with a classic Swoosh on the midfoot. A standout design detail is the bold “AIR” branding on the side – a playful nod to the iconic Air More Uptempo basketball sneaker from 1996, known for its daring style and advanced cushioning system at the time.
Athletics fans may recognize the Vomero Premium already – Olympic champion Faith Kipyegon has been spotted wearing the model during her training for the highly anticipated Breaking4 challenge, where she aims to break the four-minute mile barrier.
Nike has confirmed that the Vomero Premium will debut on October 2 at select retail partners, with a global launch set for October 16.

Meanwhile, the Nike Vomero Plus, revealed earlier this summer and now officially detailed, serves as the middle tier in the new Vomero lineup. Set for release on August 7 via Nike’s official site, the Vomero Plus features a 45mm heel stack height and sits on a full-length ZoomX sole. The shoe’s design was shaped by insights from Project Dreamweaver – a Nike initiative that brought together non-professional female athletes training for Olympic qualification, with the goal of engineering more inclusive performance footwear.
With these two launches, Nike continues to blend function with flair, offering runners fresh options that meet the growing demand for maximalist cushioning and sleek design.
