Pasuma Supported My Family for Three Years After My Accident – Daddy Showkey Reveals
Veteran Nigerian singer, Daddy Showkey, has publicly praised Fuji star Alabi Pasuma for standing by him during one of the darkest periods of his life.
During a recent live performance at a celebrity event, Daddy Showkey emotionally recounted how Pasuma fed and supported his family for three years while he was bedridden following a life-threatening accident in 2007.
The singer, whose real name is John Asiemo, said in a viral video from the event that Pasuma was the only friend in the entertainment industry who offered genuine help during his recovery. According to him, the accident kept him in the hospital for three years, and it was Pasuma who shouldered the financial responsibility of caring for his household during that time.

“You see this man, he stood by me in both good and bad times,” Showkey said as Pasuma joined him on stage. “I had a terrible accident in 2007 and didn’t perform for three years. I was in the hospital throughout, and Pasuma was the one taking care of my family.”
He went on to reveal that despite visiting other colleagues after he recovered, many of them ignored him. “Some refused to even come out when I visited. They would say they were not around, even though they were inside the house.”
Daddy Showkey’s heartfelt tribute to Pasuma has sparked an outpouring of admiration on social media, with many Nigerians praising the Fuji musician for his loyalty and generosity during a fellow artist’s time of need.
