Pepsi Wild Cherry Launches “Get Wild” Campaign, Unveils Humorous Commercials Reflecting Millennial Realities

Purchase, N.Y.-based PepsiCo’s Pepsi Wild Cherry has introduced its latest advertising endeavour, the “Get Wild” campaign, aiming to capture the essence of modern adulthood and the unconventional experiences of millennials and young adults.

The campaign, featuring two brand-new commercials, made its debut on national TV during the NFL Wild Card Weekend on January 13. Humorously portraying the everyday challenges faced by millennials as they navigate the world of 24/7 adulting, the ads emphasize the changing responsibilities and moments of joy in their lives. Pepsi Wild Cherry promises to make these wild moments even more vibrant and flavorful, reflecting the unique vibe of the millennial experience.

Jenny Danzi, Senior Marketing Director for Pepsi, expressed her enthusiasm for the campaign, stating, “As a millennial myself, I know firsthand what it’s like to feel nostalgic for our younger, freer days — and I know that we’re also still good at getting a little bit ‘wild.’ That’s why I love how our new Get Wild campaign shows that a sweet, flavorful sip of Pepsi Wild Cherry can inspire us to inject some of that ‘wild’ feeling in our new realities.”

Directed by filmmaker and comedian Kate Hollowell of Epoch Films, the campaign includes two commercials available on the brand’s YouTube channel:

Number 1 Fan: Depicting a young dad passionately bringing his sports enthusiasm to a youth flag football game, the spot captures the energy and excitement of the moment. The dad goes all out for his kid while enjoying an ice-cold can of Pepsi Wild Cherry to the tune of “Eye of the Tiger” performed by Survivor.

Nursery Rhymez: Reflecting the wilder times of parenting, this spot features a young mom inspired by the taste of Pepsi Wild Cherry. While rocking her baby to sleep, she adds a playful touch by trying out Lil Jon and The East Side Boyz’ hit “Get Low.”

In addition to the commercials, Pepsi Wild Cherry encourages consumers to embrace their “wilder” side through various marketing activations:

Pepsi Wild Cherry Giveaway: Consumers can text “WILDCHERRY” to 81234 for a chance to receive free Pepsi Wild Cherry, running through Super Bowl weekend.

Wild Cherry Wild Weekend via Retail: Until Jan. 28, consumers purchasing a Pepsi Wild Cherry can scan the code on displays at participating retailers for a chance to win tickets to the 2025 NFL Wild Card Weekend games, including travel and stay.

Wild Media Takeover: Significant investments in digital media platforms such as TikTok, Snapchat, Spotify, Barstool Sports, Betches, and more, as well as broadcast media platforms.
