Portable Calls Out Burna Boy for Ignoring His Calls After N20m Gift
Controversial Nigerian singer, Habeeb Okikiola, widely known as Portable, has publicly expressed his frustration with Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy, accusing him of ignoring calls and messages despite gifting him ₦20 million.
In a video circulating on social media, Portable claimed that while he appreciated the financial gift, what he truly desires is a musical collaboration with Burna Boy.
“Burna Boy gave me ₦20 million, but he won’t reply my DMs on Instagram, pick my calls, or even link me. I don’t even have his number,” Portable said. “The 20M will finish – what I really need from him is a verse. Why are you so stingy with your replies?”
The gift reportedly came after Portable emerged victorious in a celebrity boxing match against fellow artist Speed Darlington. Though the gesture was widely seen as generous, Portable believes a song collaboration would have a more lasting impact on his career.
The singer’s plea has sparked mixed reactions online, with some fans urging Burna Boy to respond, while others criticized Portable’s approach.
