Controversial Nigerian singer Portable has once again emerged victorious in the celebrity boxing arena, this time defeating fellow entertainer Speed Darlington in a much-anticipated bout held on Saturday night.
The event, titled Chaos in the Rings, took place at the Balmoral Events Centre in Lagos and drew a crowd eager to witness the showdown between the two outspoken performers. However, the match ended earlier than expected after Speed Darlington failed to return for the second round, citing a broken arm sustained during the first.
The celebrity clash followed weeks of tension between the artists, sparked by a disagreement over a performance fee. Speed Darlington had reportedly offered Portable ₦500,000 to appear at an upcoming show – an amount Portable dismissed as insulting, escalating the rivalry that ultimately led to the ring.
This marks Portable’s second win in a celebrity boxing match, following his earlier victory over Nollywood actor Charles Okocha four months ago. While Speed Darlington has not publicly addressed the injury, footage of the match is already making the rounds online, fueling reactions from fans of both artists.
