Popular Nigerian comedian, Josh Alfred, popularly known as Josh2Funny, has set the record straight regarding his recent appearance on the globally acclaimed TV reality show, America’s Got Talent. In a revelation that sheds light on his intent, he shared that his participation in the show was not driven by a pursuit of prizes but rather to showcase his unique comedic talent.

Josh2Funny, celebrated for his uproarious audition skits, extended his comedic reach onto the grand stage of America’s Got Talent, taking his craft to an international audience.

Contrary to the notion of vying for competitive accolades, Josh2Funny clarified in an interview with Punch that his involvement was at the behest of the show’s organizers. He explained, “I was invited to the show to do what I do. I went there to display ‘Josh2funny,’ which is what my comedy is about.”

The 32-year-old comedian, known for his ingenious skits, charmed the America’s Got Talent audience with three sidesplitting performances. He dexterously portrayed roles ranging from a fast reader to a rapid-fire rapper and even ventured into the realm of magic. Although his uproarious acts left many of the judges perplexed, leading to multiple “no” verdicts, his third endeavour earned the commendation of Simon Cowell, who granted him a resounding “yes.” Simon’s affirmation acknowledged and celebrated Josh’s comedic prowess.
