Portable Speaks Out on Mohbad’s Death

Nigerian singer Portable has raised questions about the untimely demise of Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad, suggesting that betrayal played a significant role.

In a recent video, Portable claimed that the enemies of Naira Marley, the Marlian record boss, were behind Mohbad’s tragic death. According to Portable, Mohbad had received nurture and support from Marlian Music but subsequently distanced himself from the record label.

Portable alleged that Mohbad accused Marlian Music of not showing him love, which eventually led to his decision to leave the label and align himself with Naira Marley’s rivals.

The singer went on to assert that this affiliation with Naira Marley’s rivals ultimately resulted in Mohbad’s death. Portable claimed that those responsible for Mohbad’s demise had sinister intentions to implicate Naira Marley.

“Mohbad was killed because he was a betrayer. We help these young artists and make them succeed, but they repay us with evil. After everything Marlian music did for Mohbad, he later said they didn’t love him. He left the label and went to associate with the enemies of Naira Marley.

“Those individuals then took his life, with the intention of implicating Naira. God will save Naira from this predicament because he only helped Mohbad out of a good heart, but he betrayed him.”

Portable’s statements have stirred conversations and debates in the Nigerian music industry, shedding light on the complexities and challenges faced by emerging artists in the pursuit of their careers.
