Predator: Killer of Killers Trailer Drops, Confirms June Release on Hulu and Disney+

20th Century Studios has officially lifted the veil on its long-rumoured second Predator movie for 2025. Titled Predator: Killer of Killers, the newly announced film is set to premiere on June 6 via Hulu and Disney+, alongside an action-packed trailer that debuted Tuesday.

The reveal comes months after studio president Steve Asbell hinted at two Predator titles scheduled for release this year. While fans were already aware of Predator: Badlands – a theatrical release directed by Prey filmmaker Dan Trachtenberg and starring Elle Fanning – Killer of Killers had remained a closely guarded secret.

Described as an anthology, the film weaves together three distinct timelines. According to the official synopsis, the story follows a Viking warrior and her son seeking vengeance, a feudal-era ninja locked in a deadly conflict with his samurai brother, and a World War II pilot confronting a mysterious threat in the skies. Despite their skills, all three warriors find themselves outmatched by a formidable new foe – the Predator, known this time as the “ultimate killer of killers.”

Trachtenberg, who reinvigorated the franchise with 2022’s surprise hit Prey, returns to co-direct Killer of Killers alongside Josh Wassung of The Third Floor animation studio. The screenplay is written by Micho Robert Rutare, from a story co-developed with Trachtenberg.

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter last year, Asbell revealed that after the success of Prey, Trachtenberg expressed a desire to explore fresh territory rather than develop a direct sequel. “He rattled off a bunch of ideas that were really crazy but really cool. We’ve actually done two of them,” Asbell shared.

The second project, Predator: Badlands, is still on course for its theatrical debut on November 7. During a CinemaCon presentation, Elle Fanning teased an unexpected twist: “My character actually teams up with the Predator, and you get to see him in a whole new light.”

With both films pushing the boundaries of the long-running sci-fi franchise, 2025 is shaping up to be a major year for Predator fans.
