Social media was abuzz with discussions and allegations that the singer’s grand entrance had occultic undertones. Rema, taking matters into his own hands, addressed the controversy on Thursday, November 16, 2023, through his social media platform.
The multiple award-winning artist explained the inspiration behind his unforgettable entrance, which featured him donning a mask and arriving on a horse. According to Rema, the concept drew from his cultural roots as a boy from Benin City in Edo State.
He clarified that the entrance was a tribute to his heritage and aimed at symbolizing the rebirth, reshaping, and redefinition of the bronze artifacts of his ancestors currently housed in UK museums.
