In a recent interview, 21-year-old Nigerian singer Divine Ikubor, widely known as Rema, opened up about his deep-rooted passion for music, emphasizing that financial success is not his sole motivation.
Rema, whose hits include “Calm Down,” disclosed that even before the music industry recognized his talent, he was already financially stable thanks to his social media presence and freestyle performances.
Speaking to Korty EO, Rema stated, “If music didn’t work out for me, I would still be out there hustling to make a living, you understand?”
He further elaborated on his financial stability during his early days in the music scene, explaining, “Even when I was doing freestyles, it wasn’t because I desperately needed money. I was financially secure at the time. I was actually doing well.”
