Retailer Spotted Selling Galaxy S24 Even Before Announcement
In an unexpected turn of events, a Mexican smartphone retailer has preemptively listed the highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S24 on its website, revealing key details about the flagship device even before the official announcement at the Galaxy Unpacked 2024 event.
The Yellow Amber variant of the Galaxy S24, available in both 128GB and 256GB configurations, was spotted on the website of Doto, a Mexican retailer. The listed price for the 128GB version stands at $975, while the 256GB variant is priced at $1,065. Although these prices could be preliminary, the webpage suggests limited availability, with only 10 units of the 128GB variant and four units of the 256GB variant.
The premature listing provides a glimpse into the specifications of the Galaxy S24 series, aligning with previous leaks. The Galaxy S24 is expected to feature a 6.2-inch Full HD+ screen, while the S24+ boasts a 6.7-inch QHD+ display. The S24 Ultra, with a 6.8-inch QHD+ screen, is set to include an S Pen. All three models will incorporate a Dynamic AMOLED 2x screen with a 120Hz variable refresh rate and an impressive peak brightness of 2,600 nits.
Leaked specifications indicate that the Galaxy S24 and S24+ may house the Exynos 2400 processor globally, with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 reserved for Canada and the US. Meanwhile, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor universally. Battery capacities for the S24, S24+, and S24 Ultra are reported to be 4,000mAh, 4,900mAh, and 5,000mAh, respectively.
Furthermore, all three models are likely to run on the Android 14-based One UI 6.1, incorporating advanced AI-powered features. These features include live language translation during voice calls, summarization of notes in Samsung Notes, language improvement suggestions through Samsung Keyboard, and the ability to remove objects from images and videos.
