Rick Ross and 50 Cent

Rick Ross Criticizes 50 Cent’s Work While Admitting Respect for One Collaboration

Rapper Rick Ross has openly expressed his continued disapproval of 50 Cent’s recent projects, sharing that he finds much of what the G-Unit mogul does to be subpar, despite acknowledging one of their previous collaborations.

In an extensive interview with Rolling Stone, Ross didn’t hold back, stating that he perceives “everything 50 [Cent] does sucks,” particularly when discussing the biopic based on 50 Cent’s life, “Get Rich or Die Tryin’.” The director, Jim Sheridan, allegedly faced a career downfall after working on the 2005 film, which prompted Ross’s sharp commentary.

Regarding the movie, Ross lamented, “R.I.P. Look what 50 Cent did to you.” He expressed disdain for the idea of a film centered around 50, stating, “Who wants to see a movie about 50?!”

However, despite his generally negative opinions, Rick Ross made a favorable comment about a specific track featuring 50 Cent in a new interview with Complex. Ross praised The Game’s song “Hate It Or Love It,” acknowledging the production quality but not sparing any goodwill toward 50 Cent, adding, “But I’ma [expletive] on homie. He ain’t getting no money.”

When asked if he sees an end to his feud with 50, Rick Ross skeptically responded, “I doubt it,” indicating that they currently have no issues to resolve. The longstanding animosity between Ross and 50 Cent dates back to the late 2000s, stemming from a reported encounter in 2008 where 50 allegedly showed disdain towards Ross. The feud escalated in 2009 with diss tracks from both artists.

Recently, Fat Joe shared thoughts about rappers publicly airing personal disputes during an Instagram Live session, although he didn’t specifically target anyone. Nevertheless, Ross referenced 50 Cent’s recent allegations against Diddy, insinuating a connection to Fat Joe’s comments in an Instagram response.

The ongoing feud between Rick Ross and 50 Cent has been marked by diss tracks, personal attacks, and public verbal sparring, and it seems that Ross does not foresee a resolution in the near future.
