Rick Ross, Wale and Meek Mill

Rick Ross Hints at MMG Reunion in Upcoming Joint Project with Meek Mill

Rick Ross sparked rumours of a potential reunion within his Maybach Music Group (MMG) by suggesting that Wale could be part of his collaborative project with Meek Mill, Too Good To Be True, set to release on November 10.

During a recent appearance on The Morning Hustle, Rozay indicated that Wale might join the project. “Wale actually working on this project,” Ross mentioned, hinting at a possible collaboration despite Wale’s current label affiliation with Def Jam Records.

When asked directly about Wale’s involvement, Ross replied, “It’s a good chance. You know how we get down.”

Wale, who became part of MMG in 2011, has frequently collaborated on projects under Ross’s label. While the trio of Ross, Wale, and Meek Mill appeared together on Wale’s “Routine” in 2019, Ross and Meek Mill have released two singles from their upcoming album, “Lyrical Eazy” and “Shaq & Kobe,” which recently received a remix featuring Damian Lillard and Shaquille O’Neal.

The relationship between Wale and Meek Mill has seen its ups and downs, dating back to 2014 when Meek criticized Wale for not promoting his album. This conflict was reignited in 2015 when Wale took subtle jabs at Meek during his dispute with Drake.

In 2021, Wale disclosed he communicates regularly with both Meek and Ross. He aimed to avoid the tensions surrounding former label issues, explaining he hadn’t heard anything significant.

Timbaland, after an early preview of the album, praised it as a “masterpiece” and highlighted the authenticity of the artists. “That album says a lot to me because Meek is being Meek whether you like it or not,” said Timbo.
