Rihanna Gets Sporty as She Launches Limited Edition Savage X Fenty Game Day Collection
Rihanna is capitalizing on her upcoming, highly-anticipated Super Bowl LVII performance with a limited edition Savage X Fenty Collection.
The official Instagram account for the Bajan pop star’s line of intimates shared two photos of her modeling new pieces from its Game Day Collection ahead of her imminent gig.
The new mom donned a two-toned football jersey with an X emblazoned across the center in the new post.
In the post, the always fashion-forward RiRi, who’s dating rapper A$AP Rocky, added sheer black gloves and a brown ribbed hat.
Long, dark, waves of hair flowed out from underneath her head gear, falling to her thighs with braided strands at the front.
The Umbrella hitmaker doubled up on two pairs of baggy black sweatpants that read ‘Property of Savage X Fenty Authentic Since 1988’ on the backside.
The caption read, ‘We heard there’s a football game? #SavageXGameDay.’
Other offerings on the official website include boxers with a football motif, a white t-shirt that reads ‘Rihanna concert interrupted by a football game, weird but whatever,’ a hat, tube top, and monochromatic sweatsuits.
Rihanna – full name Robyn Rihanna Fenty – announced the news of her performance in September by sharing a photo of her tattooed arm clasping a football.
The post received nearly 700,000 likes in the first 20 minutes of being uploaded.
The NFL also tweeted the news with the same snap and the message ‘Let’s GO-#SBLVII.’
And the official NFL Instagram temporarily read: ‘National Fenty League.’
At the time of the announcement, Jay-Z, whose Roc Nation is helping coordinate the show, released a statement saying, ‘Rihanna is a generational talent, a woman of humble beginnings who has surpassed expectations at every turn.
‘A person born on the small island of Barbados who became one of the most prominent artists ever. Self-made in business and entertainment.’
A statement from Apple Music read, ‘We are thrilled to welcome Rihanna to the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show stage.
‘Rihanna is a once in a generation artist who has been a cultural force throughout her career. We look forward to collaborating with Rihanna, Roc Nation and Apple Music to bring fans another historic Halftime Show performance.’
