RMD Goes into Ultimate Revenge Mood in ‘The Black Book’ Trailer

Streaming giant Netflix has recently dropped the highly-anticipated official trailer for the upcoming film “The Black Book,” leaving audiences intrigued by the intense storyline and impressive cast.

In the gripping trailer, Richard Mofe-Damijo (RMD) takes on the role of Paul Edima, a bereaved deacon whose life takes a sharp turn when his son becomes the victim of a kidnapping frame-up. Driven by a thirst for revenge, Paul Edima transforms into a determined avenger, taking the law into his own hands to battle a corrupt gang within the police force and prove his son’s innocence.

Produced by Editi Effiong’s Anakle Films, “The Black Book” boasts a stellar ensemble cast including Olumide Oworu, Sam Dede, Shaffy Bello, Iretiola Doyle, Taiwo Ajayi Lycett, Ade Laoye, Ikechukwu Onunaku, Patrick Doyle, Bimbo Manuel, and Denola Grey.

The lead actor, RMD, went above and beyond to prepare for his role, not only delving into the emotional depth of his character but also undergoing rigorous physical training. He engaged in extensive boxing, weapons training, and fight sequences, sharing the screen with Denola Grey, who plays his son in the film.

“The Black Book” is just one of the exciting additions coming to Netflix in the near future. The film is part of a lineup of seven movies and shows set to debut on the platform between now and 2024. This announcement followed Netflix’s inaugural exclusive talent appreciation event in Nigeria, known as “Lights, Camera…Nigeria!”

Alongside “The Black Book,” viewers can anticipate an array of thrilling content, including titles like “All We Had,” “Whitney Houston: I Wanna Dance with Somebody,” “6ixtynin9,” and season three of “Top Boy,” all premiering on the streaming platform next month.

The forthcoming releases don’t stop there, as the streaming giant promises a diverse range of offerings such as “Love at First Sight,” “Always Shine,” “Miseducation,” “KENGAN ASHURA: Season 2,” season five of “Love Is Blind,” and “Power Rangers Cosmic Fury.”

Mark your calendars for September 22, 2023, when “The Black Book” is set to captivate audiences with its gripping narrative and stellar performances, available exclusively on Netflix.
