Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively Buy £4 Million London Property
Ryan Reynolds, the renowned actor known for his role as Deadpool, and his wife Blake Lively have recently purchased a lavish property in southwest London. The couple decided to invest £4 million in the house as Reynolds shoots the highly anticipated third instalment of the Deadpool franchise, which has been temporarily halted due to the ongoing Hollywood actors’ strike.
Earlier this year, reports had suggested that Reynolds had purchased a £1.5 million home in Wales, near the Racecourse Ground where he co-owns Wrexham FC. However, after careful consideration, Reynolds and Lively, who are parents to James, eight, Inez, six, Betty, three, and a newborn baby born in February, felt that it would be more practical to establish their primary residence in London.
According to a source close to the couple, “Ryan and Blake have developed a strong affection for Britain. It has become a true second home for them, and they have formed lasting friendships here. Having a permanent base in London seemed like the logical choice, especially considering their work commitments in the city. While they hold Wrexham dear to their hearts, being in London makes more sense geographically, as the UK is relatively small compared to the United States.”
In addition to their flourishing acting careers, Reynolds and his friend Rob McElhenney acquired Wrexham FC in 2020 and have successfully guided the club’s return to the English Football League (EFL) after a 15-year absence. Reynolds has expressed immense satisfaction in owning the team, stating that it has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of his life.
In an interview with the BBC, the 46-year-old actor expressed his enthusiasm for the project, saying, “Owning Wrexham has genuinely been the greatest adventure of my entire life. It’s unlike anything else I’ve ever done. I love it because it’s a long-term endeavor that spans decades.”
