Seun Kuti Reveals Stance on Infidelity, Says: “I Can’t Leave My Wife if She Cheats”
Nigerian afrobeat sensation Seun Kuti has opened up about his views on infidelity, stating that he wouldn’t consider leaving his wife if she were to cheat on him.
During a recent appearance on the Valentine edition of the TVC programme ‘Your View,’ alongside his wife Yetunde, Kuti made the revelation, emphasizing that infidelity wouldn’t be a deal breaker in their marriage.
Mrs. Kuti echoed her husband’s sentiment, expressing her commitment to their relationship regardless of any indiscretions. “There is nothing my husband is going to do that would make me leave him. Even if he cheats on me, I won’t leave him,” she asserted firmly.
Kuti further elaborated on their stance, emphasizing that they don’t view love as ownership and therefore don’t believe in the concept of cheating. When asked directly if he would leave his wife if she were to cheat, Kuti responded with a resolute “No,” dismissing the notion with the question, “What has that got to do with anything?”
The couple’s candid discussion challenges traditional notions of fidelity in relationships, underscoring their belief in a deeper understanding of love and commitment.
