Shaquille O’Neal Says He’s Ready to Buy Orlando Magic
Former NBA star, Shaquille O’Neal has sent a message to the current owners of the franchise to begin negotiating the sale of Orlando Magic basketball team.
It should be recalled that Orlando Magic was the team that gave O’Neal the opportunity to make his grand debut back in 1992.
During an episode of his podcast “The Big Podcast with Shaq,” the 50-year-old former athlete made reference to his interest in buying an NBA franchise.
“Dennis, we have the money. You don’t have to worry about the money. This message goes out to the DeVos family. If you’re ready to sell the Orlando Magic, sell it to someone who will take it to the next level. That’s us!” he said.
Orlando Magc is a team under construction as it leans towards building a team for the future. This was made apparent in during the 2022 NBA Draft where they had the number one selection and selected Paolo Banchero, an outstanding player from Duke University, who joins other young players such as Jales Suggs, Franz Wagner and Mo Bamba, among others.
