Snoop Dogg Accused of Sneak Dissing 2Pac by Outlawz’z Napoleon

Snoop Dogg, the iconic West Coast rapper, has been accused of subtly throwing shade at the legendary 2Pac by former Outlawz rapper, Napoleon.

In a recent interview clip shared by The Art of Dialogue on Monday (October 9), Napoleon delved into individuals who capitalize on 2Pac’s story and shared insights into how some of them genuinely felt about the revered California icon.

“Some of these individuals, they’re very slick,” began Napoleon. He specifically mentioned figures like the Hughes brothers and Snoop, who he believes subtly praise 2Pac while simultaneously putting him down. Napoleon cited a statement from Allen Hughes, director of an upcoming Snoop Dogg biopic, who claimed that Snoop “dimmed his light for Pac to shine.” This perspective left many in a quandary, as they struggle to decipher the intentions of these prominent figures in the hip-hop community.

Allen Hughes, known for co-directing the film “Menace II Society,” expressed his admiration for Snoop Dogg and his significant influence in hip-hop. Hughes recognized the unifying power of Snoop’s energy, capable of bringing people from various walks of life together. The filmmaker’s upcoming project is set to shed light on Snoop Dogg’s remarkable journey in the hip-hop industry.

Hughes also offered a unique perspective on Snoop Dogg’s relationship with 2Pac during an interview on the Rap Radar Podcast. He highlighted Snoop’s incredible selflessness during his time with Death Row Records, despite being one of the biggest stars in hip-hop. Snoop willingly took a backseat, allowing 2Pac to shine and claim the spotlight.

This intriguing perspective opens up new discussions surrounding the dynamics of these legendary artists during a pivotal era in hip-hop history. The nuances of their relationships and the impact they had on each other’s careers are sure to be explored further as the narrative unfolds.

Allen Hughes, earlier this year, also released “Dear Mama,” a compelling docuseries delving into the life of 2Pac and his mother, Afeni Shakur.
