Speed Darlington Questions Burna Boy’s Ties to Diddy Amid Sex Trafficking Allegations
Nigerian rapper Speed Darlington has raised concerns about Grammy-winning artist Burna Boy’s association with embattled American music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, following Diddy’s recent indictment on sex trafficking charges.
Reports indicate that federal agents raided Diddy’s $61 million Beverly Hills mansion in March, where they reportedly confiscated items intended for illicit activities, including drugs and over 1,000 bottles of baby oil. Diddy was arrested earlier this week on charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and interstate transportation for prostitution.
In a video that circulated online on Friday, Speed Darlington questioned whether Burna Boy had any knowledge of or involvement in Diddy’s alleged activities. He urged Burna Boy to speak out if the music executive had ever mistreated him prior to producing Burna Boy’s Grammy-winning album Twice As Tall in 2021.
“Burna Boy took a picture with Diddy and he won a Grammy not long after. Burna, don’t get offended, how much oil did Diddy use on you before they gave you that Grammy?” Speed Darlington remarked in the video.
As of now, Burna Boy has not responded to the rapper’s remarks or the ongoing controversy surrounding Diddy.
Meanwhile, Diddy has denied all allegations, pleading not guilty to the charges on September 17. Despite his plea, the court has denied his bail request twice, and he has since been placed on suicide watch as his trial progresses.
