‘Stop Disrespecting Mohbad’s Son, Let His Wife Mourn’ – Iyabo Ojo
Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has spoken out against the mounting pressure on Omowunmi, the widow of the late rapper Ilerioluwa Olademeji Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, to conduct a DNA test on her son to establish his paternity.
In recent times, numerous individuals have been urging the rapper’s widow to undergo a DNA test for her five-month-old son to confirm his biological relationship with Mohbad. A businessman named Larry Omodia even pledged N10 million to support an “all-expense paid” DNA test if she agreed.
Iyabo Ojo, however, expressed her strong disapproval of these calls for a DNA test, deeming them “insensitive.” In a video message shared on her Instagram page, she urged everyone to allow Mohbad’s family to grieve in peace.
The actress emphasized that the decision to conduct a DNA test should be left to Mohbad’s parents if they deem it necessary. She stressed that neither she nor others have the right to demand such a test.
Iyabo Ojo further highlighted that Mohbad had never denied his son, and if authorities investigating his death found it necessary to conduct a DNA test, they would do so. She appealed for sensitivity and called on those pressuring Mohbad’s wife to leave her in peace during this difficult time.
