Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys to Showcase ‘GIANTS: Art from the Dean Collection’ at Brooklyn Museum

Popular musical power couple Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys are expanding their creative horizons by stepping into the world of art curation. On Friday, January 5, the duo revealed their ambitious plan to present a curated exhibition titled ‘GIANTS: Art from the Dean Collection of Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys’ at the iconic Brooklyn Museum. Scheduled to open its doors on February 10, the exhibit will showcase a diverse collection of paintings, sculptures, and more, featuring works by prominent artists such as Gordon Parks, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Lorna Simpson, Kehinde Wiley, and Nina Chanel Abney, among others.

The theme of ‘Giants’ encapsulates the impact of legendary artists, the influence of contemporary visionaries, and the significance of monumental works by creators like Derrick Adams, Arthur Jafa, and Meleko Mokgosi. The exhibition aims not only to celebrate the artists themselves but also to foster ‘giant conversations’ inspired by the showcased works, encouraging critical reflections on society and a celebration of Black culture.

This artistic endeavor reflects the strength of the bonds between the Deans (Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys) and the artists they passionately support. The exhibit promises an immersive experience with immense pieces, including the largest work ever by Mokgosi. With the focus on profound connections and legacies, ‘GIANTS’ is poised to be a cultural phenomenon, offering patrons an opportunity to engage with impactful artworks.

The exhibition will run until July 7, providing art enthusiasts and the general public ample time to experience the unique blend of creativity curated by Swizz Beatz and Alicia Keys. Tickets are now available, offering access to a cultural journey celebrating the richness of art and Blackness. Tickets are available here.
