TECNO Launches CAMON 50 Series at MWC 2026
TECNO has unveiled its new CAMON 50 Series and announced a high-profile collaboration with Italian luxury brand Tonino Lamborghini at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026.
The launch event, held under the theme “Pioneering the Connection of Intelligence,” marked the global debut of the CAMON 50 Series – the company’s latest flagship imaging smartphones built around advanced artificial intelligence capabilities.
TECNO’s Chief Marketing Officer Laury Bai said the company remains focused on delivering what it calls “Practical AI for All,” adding that consumers increasingly want AI features that are accessible and useful in everyday life.
Focus on AI Imaging
The CAMON 50 Series introduces upgraded camera technology powered by TECNO’s AI RAW 2.0 imaging engine. Among the headline features are AI Auto Zoom, designed to automatically frame moving subjects, and Super-Zoom FlashSnap, aimed at improving long-distance and high-speed photography.
The devices feature a 50MP Sony LYTIA 700C primary sensor, while the Ultra 5G and Pro models include a 50MP 3X telephoto lens capable of up to AI-assisted 60X zoom.
Frédéric Guichard, chief executive of DXOMARK, said the upcoming CAMON 50 Ultra 5G stands out for its skin tone rendering and image style, describing it as a strong option in the sub-$600 segment.
Beyond photography, the new series integrates AI-powered tools such as an image-to-video generator, AI Art Gallery and an upgraded Ella voice assistant. The Ultra 5G model is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400 Ultimate chipset and offers a battery capacity of up to 6500mAh, depending on market availability, alongside enhanced dust and water resistance.

Luxury Tech Partnership
At the event, TECNO also announced a strategic collaboration with Tonino Lamborghini, signalling its expansion into premium lifestyle technology.
Ginevra Lamborghini, vice president of Tonino Lamborghini, said the partnership blends performance-driven design with advanced engineering. The collaboration debuted with the Tonino Lamborghini TECNO TAURUS (MEGA MINI G1 Pro), described as the world’s smallest water-cooling gaming mini PC, powered by an Intel Core i9 processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics.
The companies also showcased the POVA Metal Tonino Lamborghini Limited Edition, an all-metal unibody 5G smartphone featuring distinctive design elements and enhanced lighting effects.
Expanding AI Ecosystem
TECNO used the platform to display a broader AIoT ecosystem concept that includes laptops, tablets and wearable devices inspired by Tonino Lamborghini’s design language.
With the CAMON 50 Series launch and its new design collaboration, TECNO is positioning itself at the intersection of AI innovation, mobile imaging and premium aesthetics as it seeks to strengthen its presence in global emerging markets.
