Renowned Nollywood actress Adesua Etomi has shared details about the medical challenges her family faced in 2024, revealing a series of health scares that tested her strength and faith.
In a heartfelt Instagram post marking her 2025 birthday, Adesua reflected on the past year, describing it as a difficult period that made her deeply appreciate life. She disclosed that she battled a severe illness, underwent an emergency C-section, and endured a difficult recovery process.
The actress also revealed that her husband, singer Banky W, had to undergo another surgery to remove a cancerous tumour – all while she was pregnant and unwell.
“2024 really tried to take the wind out of my sails, so I’m grateful to be here celebrating my life and God’s faithfulness,” she wrote.
Despite the hardships, Adesua expressed gratitude for her support system and her resilience, vowing to move forward stronger than ever.
Her revelation has since sparked an outpouring of support from fans and colleagues, who have praised her for her courage and transparency.
