The Game Faces Online Mockery Over Gender Role Remarks

Rapper The Game found himself at the centre of social media trolling after he shared a controversial post about reconsidering traditional gender roles, which he later clarified as a joke.

The Compton-based artist took to Instagram on October 21 to post an Instagram Story that diverged from his typical tough-guy persona. Against a black backdrop, he wrote, “Ladies, zelle him $6,500 if you love him. He deserves to be spoiled too 🙏.”

His followers quickly responded with a flurry of humorous comments and critiques, with one person pointing out his age, saying, “Mind you, Game is 50 years old and on the internet talking like this.”

In response to the reactions, The Game defended his post by stating, “I’m 43, and it was a joke in my story reposted from Justin Laboy… get ya panties out ya cheeks.”

This incident was one of the rare instances in which The Game temporarily set aside his tough image, as he is well-known for his menacing West Coast rap style. Previously, he exhibited his softer side when he celebrated his daughter’s birthday, sharing photos and heartfelt messages on social media.

The rapper’s emotional post reflected on the rapid passage of time and his close bond with his 13-year-old daughter, California Dream Taylor. He expressed his deep affection and pride for her, highlighting their journey together and the cherished memories they’ve created.

In his touching tribute, The Game celebrated the unique father-daughter relationship and the remarkable growth of his daughter into a young woman, all while reminiscing about their precious moments.
