Iconic rapper Travis Scott’s custom Air Jordans, worn onstage during Rolling Loud Germany this summer, have surfaced on the auction site Goldin, with bidding set to conclude on Wednesday (December 20). The unique sneakers, anticipated to fetch up to $10,000, were originally gifted to Egyptian fan Karim Abdelrahman, who had the privilege of joining Scott onstage during the festival.
The exclusive Air Jordans, currently commanding a bid of $4,750, come with a Letter of Authenticity from Memorabilia Evaluation & Research Services (MEARS) and a Letter of Provenance from Abdelrahman, confirming their origin. The auction provides fans with an opportunity to own a piece of Scott’s memorable summer tour.
While fans eagerly vie for these sought-after kicks, Travis Scott is facing criticism for the abrupt postponement of a recent show on his Circus Maximus Tour. The Houston native was slated to perform in Chicago, Illinois, on Friday (December 15). However, just two hours before the scheduled opening of the doors at 6:30 pm, the United Center announced the rescheduling of the concert.
A statement from the venue conveyed, “Travis Scott’s show at United Center scheduled for tonight has been postponed. All previously purchased tickets will be honored for the new date once announced. More information will be posted here and emailed to ticketholders directly when available.”
Reacting to the postponement, Travis Scott took to Twitter expressing his frustration, stating, “IM SOOOOOO F–KKKKKINGGGGG HOTTTTTTTTTTT.” The rapper later clarified the situation, explaining that he spent 24 hours on a runway, leading to the unexpected delay. He expressed disappointment for missing the Chicago show and assured fans of his return in early January, emphasizing his eagerness to give a memorable performance in the city.
