Troy Ave Reveals Rejection of $20 Million Offer from Unnamed Major Label

Brooklyn, [Date]: Troy Ave, the Brooklyn-based rapper, stirred conversation on social media as he disclosed that he turned down a significant recording deal worth $20 million from an undisclosed major label. Taking to Instagram on Friday (January 12), the “All About The Money” artist shared a photo posing beside a Maserati and a Ferrari, both adorned with New Jersey license plates reading “GOD GR8” and “PAY SR8.”

In the caption, Troy Ave revealed, “Major label tried to offer me 20 Million… I said no thanx, I’m all white [wink face emoji].” However, he refrained from specifying which major label extended the offer or providing details about his decision to decline.

Earlier in the month, Troy Ave made headlines for being included in Uncle Murda’s annual roast session, “Rap Up 2023.” Although reports suggested he recorded a response, it seems the track may never be released. According to DJ Self of Power 105, Troy Ave decided not to drop the response out of respect for Uncle Murda, whom he admires.

While speculation arose about a potential diss track, Troy Ave remained tight-lipped. His Instagram post on January 1, featuring a photo of him looking at his phone with the caption “Damn do I gotta ‘WRAP this n-gga UP,'” hinted at a response but left fans guessing.

Notably, Troy Ave has been vocal about other issues in the rap industry. On January 8, he introduced a new segment on his podcast, The Facto Show, where he nominated Charlamagne Tha God, DJ Vlad, Mysonne, and Maino for the “Bozo Of The Year” Akademy Award. Encouraging fans to vote for the winner, Troy Ave continued to express his opinions on various aspects of the hip-hop community.
