Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk

Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk’s Teams Agree to Terms for a Wembley April 29 Fight

Life came fast at Tyson Fury after Oleksandr Usyk decided to call his bluff and basically corner him to agree on a fight.

The Ukrainian champ proposed a deal in which Tyson Fury will have to donate £1 million to the people from Usyk’s country who is suffering the war against Russia.

The Gypsy King is known for donating money to many charity causes, he is also a prominent advocate for mental health.

It was obvious Tyson Fury would take on the deal he wanted and donate this money, it wasn’t a problem to him. It didn’t take Fury’s team long to respond, as reported by ESPN.

Reporter Mike Coppinger was the one who confirmed there is a date, a venue, and both teams reached an agreement. He wrote:

“Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk are closing in on a deal for an undisputed heavyweight championship fight – planned for April 29 at London’s Wembley Stadium – after both sides notified the WBA that they have agreed to terms, president Gilberto Mendoza told ESPN. Fury offered Usyk 30% of the split to his 70% in a social media interview, and Usyk agreed in a video of his own. This comes ahead of the WBA’s 5 p.m. ET deadline for a deal to avoid a purse bid for Usyk vs. Daniel Dubois.”

Fury and Usyk Had a Deadline From the WBA

The ones who accelerated this process were the folks from the WBA, who offered their own ultimatum. They confirmed there was a deadline they had to meet in order to avoid forcing Usyk to defend his title in a mandatory bout against Daniel Dubois. ‘Dinamite’ will have to wait and see who comes out of this fight as the winner. Only next time he will be facing a liean Heavyweight champion of the world. It’s finally here, the fight we were all waiting for has been agreed. History is waiting for both Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk. After two decades, we’ll have a new undisputed lineal Heavyweight champion. Pending official announcement, this is more than likely happening.
