Unilever Records N15.1bn Profit
Unilever Nigeria Plc has reported a net profit of N15.1 billion for the 2024 financial year, marking a significant 79% increase from the N8.4 billion recorded in 2023.
The company’s audited financial statement for the year ending December 31, 2024, also shows a turnover of N149.5 billion, representing a 44% rise compared to N103.9 billion in the previous year. Gross profit for the year stood at N55.1 billion – up by 60% from the N34.5 billion reported in 2023.
Managing Director of Unilever Nigeria, Tobi Adeniyi, credited the impressive performance to a robust business strategy and the dedication of the company’s workforce.
“We are pleased with our stellar performance in 2024, which is built on the foundation of our resilient strategy and the unwavering commitment of our people,” Adeniyi said in a statement. “Our focus has remained on delivering superior products to our consumers while continually investing in our brands and expanding our market reach.”
Adeniyi noted that the company’s growth is being driven by operational efficiency, cost optimization, and a stronger presence in key product segments. He added that Unilever continues to create consumer demand through purposeful branding and innovation, helping to grow its market share in a competitive industry.
Looking ahead, the company expressed optimism about its future, stating its intention to deepen its footprint in Nigeria and across the African continent.
