Vanessa Bryant to Donate $16 Million to the Mamba and Mambacita Foundation
Vanessa Bryant celebrated a big win on Instagram, sharing a photo of her late husband Kobe Bryant and daughter Gianna Bryant after winning $16 million in a lawsuit against Los Angeles County.
As reported by Marca, Vanessa assured that the money paid to her by the county will be donated to the Mamba & Mambacita Foundation.
The NBA legend and their 13-year-old daughter, who went by Gigi, were killed in a helicopter crash, along with seven others, while traveling to one of Gigi’s games in January 2020.
In September, Vanessa Bryant filed a federal complaint lawsuit against Los Angeles sheriffs and firefighters for taking gruesome photos of the crash scene and sharing them.
On Wednesday, nine jurors unanimously agreed that the photos of the accident invaded his privacy and caused emotional distress, awarding him $16 million.
According to ESPN, the jury deliberated for 4.5 hours Wednesday before reaching a decision, and Vanessa Bryant cried softly as the verdict was read.

She then took to Instagram to post in honor. In the photo, Vanessa Bryant stands between Kobi and Gigi, all three smiling. In the caption, she writes:

Vanessa Bryant was tested at the 11-day trial last Friday, saying, “I live every day in fear of being on social media and having it show up. I live in fear of my daughters being on social media and these appearing.”
