Why I Won’t Honour Podcast Interviews – Burna Boy
Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Damini Ogulu, widely known as Burna Boy, has revealed why he avoids podcast interviews, citing a preference for professional standards in such engagements.
In a recent post on his Instastory, Burna Boy explained that he considers himself a professional in his field and expects the same level of expertise from anyone conducting interviews with him.
“I’m not here for those podcast/ring light-level setups, please. I’m a professional in my profession, and only a professional in theirs is qualified to interview ODG,” he stated.
Despite his general aversion to interviews, Burna Boy expressed interest in a potential session with celebrated media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu. He suggested that Ebuka’s reputation for conducting insightful interviews might make him an exception.
“Is Ebuka still doing interviews? I don’t like interviews at all, but I’d like to do one with him,” the singer added, hinting at a desire to address certain topics publicly.
The revelation has sparked discussions among fans, with many speculating about the issues Burna Boy might want to clarify in such an interview.
