World Javelin Champion Assaulted and Thrown Off Boat in Grenada

World javelin champion Anderson Peters was left injured after getting attacked and flung off a boat right in the middle of a boat cruise in his native Grenada.

In a video footage of the incident, which eventually wet viral, the 24-year-old, who won gold in Doha 2019 and the recent Eugene 2022 World Championships, can be seen being attacked by five men.

The incident occured on the party boat ‘Harbour Master’, which was offering services during the Carnival celebrations in the port of Saint George.

According to the police, several members of the staff have been arrested following the incident.

The two-time world champion reportedly suffered minor injuries, but was eventually treated by local medical services.
