Xiaomi Unveils Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G Series in India, Promising Exciting Features
Xiaomi has officially launched its much-anticipated Redmi Note 13 series in India, with a spotlight on the flagship Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G model. As part of the announcement, Xiaomi introduced a fresh packaging design characterized by an all-red theme for its Redmi devices, setting the tone for a consistent visual identity across its product lineup.
Upon unboxing, the standard contents for the Indian market were revealed, including the phone itself, a charger, a cable, and a case. Notably, the case has undergone a redesign, transitioning from a clear style to an all-black silicone, addressing concerns about potential yellowing over time. However, users might find the large opening at the top for aesthetic purposes less durable.
Key features of the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G include a 6.67-inch curved AMOLED display boasting a 2712 x 1220 resolution. The device supports a 120Hz refresh rate, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and offers impressive specifications such as 100% DCI-P3 coverage, 500 nits of standard brightness, and a peak brightness of 1800 nits. Dolby Vision and HDR10+ support enhance the visual experience.
The device incorporates a glass back design with a plastic frame, and Xiaomi has upgraded its durability with IP68 dust and water resistance. The Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G runs on a MediaTek Dimensity 7200-Ultra processor, featuring an octa-core chip with LPDDR5 memory and UFS 3.1 storage options in 8+256GB, 12+256GB, and 12+512GB configurations.
In terms of photography, the smartphone offers a robust camera setup, including a 200MP Samsung ISOCELL HP3 sensor capable of shooting in 12.5MP and native 200MP. Additional lenses comprise an 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro, while the front features a 16MP fixed-focus camera.
Running on MIUI 14.0.1 and Android 13, the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G is set to be among the first Xiaomi devices to receive the Android 14 and HyperOS update later this year.
The device is equipped with a 5000mAh battery and supports impressive 120W charging, showcased by the included 120W charger that promises a 0-100% charge in just 19 minutes.
Pricing for the Redmi Note 13 Pro+ 5G starts at INR 31,999 for the 8+256GB version, INR 33,999 for the 12+256GB version, and INR 35,999 for the 12+512GB variant. Consumers can choose from three distinct colors: Fusion Black, Fusion Purple, and Fusion White.
