Young Jonn Reveals Unplanned Journey to Becoming an Artiste
Nigerian musician Young Jonn recently opened up about his unexpected journey into the music industry, stating that becoming an artiste was never his initial plan. In an interview with Revolt, the renowned producer-turned-singer shared insights into how his career evolved.
“I never really planned to be an artist, but life played out,” Young Jonn revealed, indicating that his shift from production to performing was a surprising turn of events.
Discussing the transition, he described it as a significant learning experience. “It was a learning process. It’s a whole different ball game. It’s a whole different hustle, grind, and business. It took me time, but I think I’m getting hold of it,” he explained, highlighting the challenges and new experiences that came with the change.
Young Jonn also credited artists like Olamide, Kizz Daniel, and Lil Kesh for inspiring him as he navigated his new role as an artiste. His early career involved significant work with Olamide’s YBNL Nation, where he produced numerous tracks for Lil Kesh, Olamide, and other label members. This experience, he noted, was foundational in shaping his musical journey.
