2 Chainz Reportedly Injured in Car Accident in Miami, Rushed to Hospital
Renowned rapper 2 Chainz has been rushed to the hospital following a car accident in Miami, reportedly caused by a drunk driver. The incident occurred on I-95 in the early morning hours on Saturday, December 9, as the artist was leaving an Art Basel party.
TMZ, the first on the scene, reported that the driver of the Tesla that struck 2 Chainz’s vehicle was suspected of driving under the influence. Initial reports indicated that the rapper, whose real name is Tauheed Epps, was hit from behind, and the Tesla that collided with his car appeared to be totaled.
Despite the setback, 2 Chainz is reported to be in stable condition, even sharing a video on his Instagram stories as he was loaded into the ambulance by first responders.
The incident comes as 2 Chainz is actively promoting his latest joint album with Lil Wayne, “Welcome to ColleGrove.” The rapper recently spoke about the album on the Rap Radar podcast, revealing insights into collaborations with 50 Cent and other special guests who didn’t make the final cut.
